Our newest feature, Character Creator, allows students to express their creativity and self-awareness by creating their own character. These Character Creator Prompts can be used to foster meaningful discussions with your students. Use them straight from this page or click the downloadable link at the bottom to print and hand them out to students.

Character Creator Prompts

1) How did you name your pirate and why?

2) How did you choose the physical look of your character (body and face)?

3) Why did you choose specific features?

4) What clothing style did you choose for your pirate and why?

5) List two ways that your character is like you.

6) List two ways that your character is different from you.

7) Write an origin or backstory for your character. Include information such as:

  • What planet did they come from?
  • What hobbies do they have?
  • What type of music do they like?
  • What is their favorite food to eat on the ship
  • What type of job would your pirate have on the pirate ship? Why?
  • In 2-3 sentences, describe your pirate's personality (funny, grumpy, loud, shy, etc.).
